I see a Nikon 80-200 f28 AF-D Nikkor ED in my future. Well used but works perfectly and has no marks or blemishes on the lenses. It takes a huge 95mm filter and weighs over 4 pounds 19kg.
Pictures of this lens mounted is highly appreciated. From what ive read this is fairly common and not with just the 80-200mm. I know this has pobably been asked many times before but which is a better one to get for action photos.
The 28 14 has the same problem. Its 34 88mm around by 815 207mm long. However the 80-200 AFS is actually less actual focal length than the 80-200AFD at 200mm so the AFS images are about 6 less magnified 6 less actual focal length and may appear a bit less sharp because of the lower magnification.
The huge included bayonet hood is 4-58 diameter. However I noticed a small crack in the manualauto focus ring selector and a week ago when I switched to manual focus the ring selector. Ive had the Nikon 80-200mm AF-D f28 lens for 2 years and it worked perfect for the past 2 years.
